MAG-33

Aces High First Marine Air Group

Editorial by Ripsnort, CO of VMF-323

MAG-33 was a concept developed after seeing it successfully implemented within the Warbirds community(MAG-11). It is a combination of several squadrons fly under one name in the Tour of Duty scenarios within Aces High. MAG-33 was an actual Marine Air Group that flew primarily in late war events in the Pacific during WW2.

The squadrons involved so far with MAG-33 are Redwings VMF-115 "Joes Jokers", Ripsnorts VMF-323 "Death Rattlers, Jebo's VMF-222 "Flying Deuces", Troxels VMFA-212 "Lancers" and ColBecks VMF-214 "Black Sheep". Combined we are approximately 115 members strong however the Tour of Duty usually fields about 15-20 participants on Friday and Saturday Tour of Duty times.

MAG-33 is the most successful squadron in all the TOD's combined. We have more kills, more damage done to the enemy than any other squadron participating in the TOD. This is the result of team coodination, excellent pilot skill, flexible leadership, and hard training that VMF-323 encourages all MAG-33 squadrons to attend.

We welcome all VMF groups to join our MAG. Contact Ripsnort if you're interested in joining our MAG. The MAG-33 squad affiliation only affects the Special Events Arena. Your original squadron name stays intact in all other arenas.
